Primark needs no introduction - at least, not in the UK. In the States, however, the clothing store had yet to make its mark. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to lend them our expertise and make sure the British Invasion brand opened with a bang in its first US location.
The design and implementation of Primark’s Boston store was a tremendous success and a real highlight for Vision On. It gave us the opportunity both to use exciting new materials and to expand our visual merchandising network for the benefit of the installation.
The store sits within the beautiful Burnham building which was designed by Daniel Burnham (the Chicago architect behind Selfridges) and is proudly listed on America’s National Register. This was always going to present a few unique design challenges but after some collaborative thinking and experimentation with bespoke applications and colour changing lightboxes, the limits were quickly overcome. The end result looks fantastic but essentially remains sympathetic to the heritage and spirit of the building.
